The Adrenal Stress Profile Test is a non-invasive test that assesses the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis using salivary samples of hormones like cortisol and DHEA.  It measures cortisol levels throughout the day, including the Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR), which reflects how well the body adapts to stress.
